Kandiland has been amazing, my son has been going since January of this year and i was afraid because we had made such a big move for our whole family and didn’t know how he would do. Now every-time we walk-in or out everyone knows him and he loves going every single day! All the teachers are amazing and have been such a big help with his transition. Can’t express what a good feeling it is to know your child feels so comfortable in his daycare, definitely would recommend to anyone searching for a daycare.

They remained open with a new protocol with covid and that was so wonderful for my children to have that structure and normalcy in a safe learning environment when everything else had changed. We have LOVED our experience with Kandiland. From the very first day they’ve made us feel like family. Ms Jennifer, Ms Courtney, Ms Marisa, Ms Zendré, Ms Lacey…literally everyone there is heaven sent. Our 4 year old daughter had so much fun and made so many friends. She grew so much in her education and fine motor skills, it was like a night and day difference! I can’t recommend this school enough for your babies. They teach, nurture and love your children like they are their own.

I enrolled my son here at Kandiland Westover, from having him right before a global pandemic and staying home with him the first year I was very anxious about enrolling him in any daycare. But here felt different from meeting a coworker in the parking lot and her sharing how much she loves her job to our tour as a family after hours with covid precautions it felt comfortable and safe. My son has absolutely blossomed and just been so happy ever since we enrolled. He stated self feeding and eating well. Is napping and sleeping consistently which was always a struggle. Vaneel has been so wonderful everyday making sure my questions are answered and protected my son when she didn’t recognize someone to get him! I am so looking forward to many more years with my son here and deepening our family bond at Kandiland!

I can’t say enough good things about this place. My wife and I have been sending our kids to Kandiland for thee years now (since they were infants). They communicate very well. They clearly care about the kids. They’re respectful and they don’t let parents walk all over them when there’s an issue. I feel 100% safe sending my kids there. The place is clean, they don’t tolerate biting or kids being sick. This place has been a real blessing! Ps. They’re affordable too. Very reasonably priced.

Kandiland at Westover is the most amazing daycare ever! Words cannot describe how thankful we are to be able to take my son to such a great school, with Christian values. Veenal, the Director has worked with my 3 year old son, and helped him transition from a home daycare with not much structure, into the structured, yet super fun environment of Kandiland. She, and his teacher Ms. Marisa, have shown love and patience for my son. He has blossomed with his speech, letters, numbers, singing songs, learning Bible verses, and so much more. My son (4) has been attending Kandiland his entire life. The staff absolutely loves him and he truly enjoys going to school every day. The teachers are consistently wonderful, and the director is such a wonderful human. The teachers are always coming up with fun and creative things for the kids to do, and they really do so much to foster an environment where the kids can really flourish. Because of this, it’s so easy for the parents to become friends as well, and get the kids together outside of the school. We absolutely love Kandiland for our son and will be genuinely sad when he ages out.

My daughter started Kaniland about a month ago and I have nothing but AMAZING things to say. Daycare can be scary for a first time mom like me but Kandiland is always reassuring that they’re taking great care of my sweet baby. My children (11 months and 4 years) have been attending this daycare for almost two years and I am beyond pleased with the treatment of the kids. The staff makes me feel like my boys are part of their family and will even reach out with special milestones or moments they captured. They follow an education curriculum with plenty of outside time (different playgrounds for different age groups) and always work with my energetic son who sometimes has a hard time managing his emotions. When I have questions they are always super helpful and transparent and never get offended or annoyed by anything I ask or my concerns. They have fun activities they plan for the kiddos and host extracurricular classes or events geared for different ages. They use a wonderful app that allows you to message the teachers with questions and they are always happy to answer. Kandiland checks all the boxes for me and I highly recommend them.

My daughter is in the infant room and my son is in the afterschool program. We love this center. The teachers in the infant room are phenomenal, their communication style is top notch. They really love and care for these babies like they are their own. Safety is the number one priority, and you can tell how loving they are towards the children and families by how happy the babies are at drop off and pick-up. It really does feel like a second home, and I love that for my children because I know the teachers and director have cultivated this welcoming and inviting community where they really treat the kids with love and support. I could not say enough good things about the director Kelly she is caring, accommodating and has your families best interest at heart. I have never felt like my children and I were a tuition check, I truly trust that my children are in the best hands there.

I have trusted this center with my children for 2.5 years now, and I will continue to bring them until they start Kinder. I have a 3 year old and 9 month old. All of the teachers my children have had have cared for them like their own. They really listen to my concerns and very specific instructions as a parent and FOLLOW THROUGH. They make me feel like my needs as a parent are met and heard. The director, Ms. Karry, is amazing. She has always made me feel comfortable and takes time to talk to me whenever I ask to speak with her.

The Best daycare in the area. I love the atmosphere they have even in spite of the covid restrictions. 2 teachers that truly stand out are Ms. Sierra and Ms. Wendy! They truly care about their students and know how to keep their parents informed of anything that happens. Ms. Wendy has also been exceptionally helpful with my daughter and teaching her kindergarden curriculum since she misses the age cut off for school. Lastly, ms. Kat is so informative and helpful in the front office. Even in a bad day, she has a smile for anyone who walks in.

My son is thriving here. He started at 10 weeks old and is now 27 months. He loves all of the teachers and helpers there. I was told a long time ago, you can tell you’ve found the right daycare by the attitude of your child when you drop them off and pick them up. My son is excited to see his teachers in the morning, reaching to them for love and hugs, and he’s all smiles when I get him at the end of the day. My son is a handful and they have taught him so much about how to share and handle his 2 year old feelings. They’ve also helped me with how to transition that learning to home. Very happy with our choice in Raising Stars.

I love KSA. I’ve never seen such caring, knowledgeable, passionate people! There are many preschools in Sugarland, but KSA tops them all. Your kids will learn, grow, be challenged and mostly have fun and be happy. As parents, you have a lot on your plate so to find a school that treats your kids like the way you would and bring you that peace of mind is priceless. We love KSA! My son has been going here for about 6 months and the teachers are great. Everything is kept very clean and my little guy seems to be happy every day. He is in the 18-36 month old group and he is learning his colors and numbers. I love that they actually teach him things. You can tell that the teachers really care about the kids. We’ve only been to one other day care and the teacher just seemed to supervise the kids and sat in the corner doing paperwork while the little ones wandered around bored or fought over toys. Here, they actually interact with the kids and have a curriculum. It’s nice to know he’s going to “school” instead of just a babysitter.

My baby currently go here, and we absolutely love this place. We were nervous starting her in a daycare, but they helped ease our minds. Mrs. Maria, the infant teacher, is so nice, loving, and caring. My baby get excited seeing her 😊 The only complaint I have is the time, I wish they opened up earlier than 7:30am, it can be pushing it trying to drop her off and make it to work some mornings. I definitely recommend this place, it’s clean and positive. Edit 02/11/2022- they now open at 6am, so I honestly still have no complaints. Love this facility!

Parents, when looking for a daycare – ask to look at their fire alarm panel. You’ll find Kid Scholars Academy will have an up to date annual inspection, and there are no Trouble lights on the panel. They recently also replaced every smoke detector in 2020. Their panel also does a test signal every day, to insure it’s working properly. You’d be surprised how many day cares out there have a “yellow” trouble light on the panel. These owners obviously care about your children’s safety. Be sure to support locally owned businesses such as Kid Scholars who you can trust to follow all of the licensing and safety codes.

This place is a great place to send your kids. Ms. Laura and Ms. Makayla does a wonderful job with my son and the rest of the students there. I love receiving pictures and updates to my phone through there HiMama app in regards to my son educational activities, meals, and moods throughout the day!

What stands out the most is the cleanliness in the building, especially the infants room. As a person in the medical field, I take it seriously because our baby is in the infant room and they have the weakest immune system. I am glad to see that they take the time to disinfect every toy daily! I also appreciate all the care and love they give. It is difficult to care for a fussy and crying baby, but I see that they are gentle and caring in the baby room!

They have helped him learn, grow and develop and have been such a big part in our little babes life. Every single teacher is amazing and they are always in such a great mood and have the best attitude. My son loves going to school and as a first time parent this is a huge deal. I was very nervous about enrolling him in daycare and since day 1 of visiting the school I just had this huge relief and could tell that we found the perfect place. They were so welcoming and the director and manager that assisted us the first day made me feel so comfortable. The teachers that are there currently seem to have been there awhile and they don’t have a high turnover rate for their staff. They also have an app that sends you updates daily on what your little one is doing. My son loves his teachers and loves this school and I am so happy that we found this place.

To every parent that is looking for the perfect school. I have looked at 5 other schools prior to choosing KSA. I walked into KSA and we were greeted warmly. The environment just felt right. My little one felt comfortable exploring the classrooms. (Not like the other schools we went to.) We’ve been with KSA for about 2 weeks now. Our little one had rough start and I was very nervous and scared. But Ms. Yvette assured us that he will be in good hands. The teachers are amazing and Ms. Yvette is awesome.

The staff truly cares for the children. I struggled with placing my child in care, but it helps to know they care. The baby room teachers gave me good advice and the toddler room teacher Ms. Laura is helpful and always updates me on any changes with my child. She is great and a kind woman! Mainly, my baby is happy to see her!!

As a first time mom I was very skeptical about sending my 6 month son off to daycare. After lots of research I found this daycare and it was the best decision ever! The teachers are very kind and my son enjoys being there. I can watch him from my phone anywhere I go and I never have to worry about the safety of my son because they care very much about every child that attends this academy. I Love it!!

Five stars for us! ⭐️ Being the first daycare for my son that was turning 2 I was hoping to find a place where I would feel safe leaving him for long periods of time. Upon our visit I was happy with the levels of security provided here at the State of Illinois building. Second of all, the director, Ms. Charmaine, is someone you would want to work with because she is so professional and friendly. This was all new to me as a first time parent so being able to text and ask her questions and have that direct communication with her made such a huge difference. After coming here for almost 6 months I have nothing but great things to say. My son was able to start as soon as he turned 2. It took him a month to adjust and the teachers were all so caring and patient with him. What I appreciate the most is being able to be in the know of how his day went. I love seeing pictures of the cool activities and how much playing and learning they did throughout the day. He has learned so much since the day he started. My son learned to talk, count, and sing so many different songs. He has also made so many friends. For me, being able to have that friendly relationship with all the teachers at this school is such a blessing as well. It gives me reassurance that all the kids will be taken care of by them in a safe, loving, and welcoming environment. I highly recommend this school.

I just want to say this place is truly a Blessing!!!!!! This daycare is literally the best! 10/10! I do recommend! Come signup your child ASAP! The staffs and director is simply the best! and the activities for the kids are very educational and the food they feed the kids is delicious lol . My daughter has autism… They assured me she will NOT be treated any different from the rest! They make sure she participate and NOT left out. I can’t even lie they taught her independence, what’s the saying go “You don’t know unless you try”. Sure enough my baby is trying everytime!!! I LOVE this daycare! My three-year-old son (Seigo) looked forward to attending this school every morning. It was a precious time for him to meet great friends and teachers. I am sure that the State of Illinois Child Development Center is one of the best preschools in the Chicago downtown area, considering the quality of teachers and facilities, curriculum, and cost. Teachers are professional and treat children very lovingly. They prepare weekly schedules that include art and creative expression, math, science, language, etc., which helps children widen their interests. My son’s native language is Japanese, but he became able to spell his and his friend’s names in English. Also, he mastered some Spanish. One of the unique features of the Center is its spacious rooftop playground. My son loved riding a bike there. The school also has a small rooftop garden where they grow vegetables and flowers, adding a unique and engaging aspect to the school’s activities. At the Center, we had regular conferences with the teachers, almost every three months. These conferences were a great opportunity to confirm my son’s progress and development at school and discuss any concerns we had about childcare at home. This level of parental involvement was very helpful and reassuring. I recommend the State of Illinois Child Development Center for every parent as your kids’ preschool. We were lucky to find this nursery school. It’s a very nice nursery school. If you are looking for a nursery school, please come and visit us.

We love love love this childcare center. From the first time I spoke with Charmaine, she was warm and welcoming. We were able to tour the facility, meet the teachers got a very good feel for what a day would look like for my little one. We felt it would be a good fit and enrolled our little one. This was their first time in childcare and we had lots of questions. Charmaine answered each one in a timely fashion and we never felt as if we were annoying her. Charmaine and her staff were very helpful with setting expectations and helping our child transition from home care to the classroom setting. Our child has been here for about two months and now they run to interact with their teachers and classmates when we drop off. Ms. Angel and Ms. Krystan are so very caring and have no issue with chatting with us when we have questions. I do appreciate how they are always willing to help our little one transition into the classroom and how patient and kind they are. Our child’s social skills have increased exponentially and they are doing more and more new things each day. Of note, our little one has developmental delays and this did not shake Charmaine, nor any of the teachers. They are true educators and we are grateful we found them and trust our little one fully with them. The icing on the cake is how affordable it is even though it is in the heart of downtown Chicago and the closures are state holidays only. We are both in the banking industry and switched jobs this year before we lost a major pillar of our support system, so it was important to not have to deal with daycare closing for weeks at a time, because unfortunately we still have to work and have limited family support. If you were looking for a sign to enroll your little one, take this as the sign to do it.
